Avatar (as James Cameron's Avatar) is a 2009 American epic science fiction movie directed, written, produced, and co-edited by James Cameron and starring Sam Worthington.

It is set in the mid-twenty second century when humans are colonizing Pandora, a lush habitable moon of a gas giant in the Alpha Centauri star system, 

The growth of the mining colony threatens the continued existence of a local tribe of Na'vi – a humanoid species indigenous to Pandora.

The movie's title refers to a genetically engineered Na'vi body operated from the mind of a remotely located human this is used to interact with the natives of Pandora.

Development of Avatar started out in 1994, whilst Cameron wrote an 80-page remedy for the movie.


Filming changed into supposed to take place after the Cameron's 1997 movie Titanic, for a planned launch in 1999; however, according to Cameron, the necessary technology not available.

Work at the language of the Na'vi started out in 2005, and Cameron started out growing the screenplay and fictional universe in early 2006. .

Avatar changed into formally budgeted at $237 million, because of a groundbreaking array of new visual effects Cameron achieved in cooperation with Weta Digital in Wellington.

Other estimates put the price between $280 million and $310 million for production and at $150 million for promotion.

The movie made enormous use of latest motion capture filming techniques and was launched for conventional viewing, 3D viewing  and "4D" studies in selected South Korean theaters.

Now the Movie is again knocking in the cinemas where you can watch the movie again before it's second part will launch.

The rescreening is important because some of the fans lost 2007's time when the movie was screening first, so you can watch it again in your nearest theatre
