Quinta Brunson had to give a little history lesson to an Abbott Elementary critic after they called her out for attending a charter school.

Quinta then responded, calling Jeanne “wrong and bad at research.”
“I only attended a charter for high school,” Quinta continued. “My public elementary school was transitioned to charter over a decade after I left. I did love my high school. That school is now defunct- which happens to charters often.”
@JeanneAllen you’re wrong and bad at research. I only attended a charter for high school. My public elementary school was transitioned to charter over a decade after I left. I did love my high school. That school is now defunct- which happens to charters often.
She then referred back to Jeanne’s comment about how she “loved” attending charter schools at the time. “Loving something doesn’t mean it can’t be critiqued,” Quinta wrote. “Thanks for watching the show :)”
@JeanneAllen Loving something doesn’t mean it can’t be critiqued. Thanks for watching the show 🙂
After the ordeal, Jeanne posted a tweet calling Quinta a “talented TV writer,” but then she continued her criticisms: “Quinta peeved at my pointing out she attended charter schools while writing a show that consistently attacks. She quibbled with the facts. I responded.”
Quinta didn’t appear to respond to that one, but we’ll let you know if she does!
