Tribal villages in Maharashtra have guys with a couple of spouses, every allotted to do each day household chores. Shanta is the only wife of Bhagat Ram. She forces him to do 2nd marriage as she is uninterested in doing all the work alone.
Bhagat Ram marries Beena and Shanta feels jealous of her while seeing her getting intimate with Bhagat Ram. Beena hurts herself while going to fill the water and can not do the chores.
