Bollywood is certainly not having a good time as many Hindi movies including Ranveer Singh starrer “Jayeshbhai Jordaar” and John Abraham starrer “Attack” bombed on the box-office while on the other hand, some southern language movies such as “Pushpa: The Rise”, “RRR” and “KGF 2” have performed exceptionally well in the Hindi speaking belts.
The Hindi moviemakers are trying out to find out the reason behind the success of few southern language flicks on the pan-India level. Recently producer Bhushan Kumar shed some light on this issue and put forth his own opinion in this regard.
Bhushan Kumar is looking forward to get a good opening in Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2” which has released today and hopes that it will bring back the good old days of Bollywood. He was also associated with Prabhas starrer “Radhe Shyam” which failed to impress audiences.
Talking about the success achieved by “Pushpa”, “RRR” and “KGF 2”, Bhushan Kumar says that heroism is working once again in films and if we look at these three flicks, they are complete masala and pure entertainers, neither targeted towards multiplex audiences nor towards massy viewers. He adds that these movies have heroism, action, music, the mother element, etc. just like we used to have in the films of 90s, it’s just that the makers have increased the scale of everything and it is working in their favor.
Bhushan Kumar goes on to say that the flicks movies like “War” and “Tiger Zinda Hai” had all these elements because of which they worked on the box-office and audiences won’t be liking the film if the makers scale down these elements. As per him, movie lovers now want everything on a very big scale whether it is action, comedy or music plus the effective one-liners used in these movies have also played an important role in their success.
“Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2” has got good reviews from trade analysts and as far as the trends are concerned, it seems that the movie is going to get grand opening.
